It seems that the only way to get CarPlay (so I can use Waze on the car Navigation) is without the FM Radio. ie I press the media button and choose Waze, but the radio goes off. (Also annoyingly it starts playing my iTunes playlist so I have to pause that. Where no internet connection is available: Select Diagnosis session type. Select any of the following symptoms: Electrical - Information and entertainment system – Touch screen display. Select the 'extras' tab'. Run : Configure existing module - Front control/display interface module (high level display front).
There are a couple of possible causes assuming it was never working, all dealer fix related I suspect. If DAB was optioned: DAB module/antenna/wiring missing. If not DAB: Wrong software option included on Radio. Edit definitely no DAB button, and no matching voice command either, but there is iPad, iPod, iphone, iwhatever

Hi its been a while since I posted on this forum. I got a brand new mazda 3 with the dab radio in January. Unfortunately the dab radio has been disappointing. It does not scan the commercial networks first go. When you do get 9A and 9B it will glitch and audio drops despite good reception. There are workarounds to manually enter the frequency.

Only very rarely are any signal problems caused by the antenna itself. If needs be, though, you should be able to replace the antenna with an external one. It will basically reset your radio. This will allow you to go back onto DAB where you will need to click on stations and reinstall the local broadcasts. You will understand more with the radio in front of you step by step but this solved my problem and I have a jaguar xe 66 plate. That randomly started this issue.

I have just brought a used 2013 Focus Titanium X, I am having some problems with the DAB radio. the car is not finding the DAB station that I like such as LBC, kiss, Capital Xtra, it has found all BBC stations and heart, XFM, ect. I have scanned for the stations on both DAB1 And DAB2 but still no luck.

Not lately but in the past others have performed a system reboot, or a reset of the radio. Not near my car but if the screen boots up find a control that deletes all your information phone and nav and see if that helps. For a system reset , disconnect both battery cables, wait a minute or so and the touch the cables together for a few seconds. 5. Damaged Antenna or Tuner: Replace the Antenna or Tuner. Been having major problems with our DAB not working and was told initially on pick up that the garage was just in a black spot but after nearly 2 weeks of it not working and us telling them it's not working but the garage doing nothing, they have now admitted there is a batch of faulty DAB radios
